Audit lessons
The same address, typed five times
Every AI audit I have run so far found the same thing underneath the AI question. It was never about the AI.

A founder brings you in to find where AI can help. You interview the team, you look at the systems, you read the spreadsheets. And somewhere around the fourth interview the real finding arrives, and it is always slightly embarrassing in its simplicity.
In one recent engagement it was a location record. A fast-growing company opening new sites every week, and the same address, the same contact, the same lease details, typed by hand into five different places by three different people. Not because anyone was careless. Because the project tool had hit its automation limit, one team had no seat in it, and everyone had built a private copy to get their own job done. Five copies of the truth, all slightly different, and the team spending most of their week reconciling them and chasing deliveries that went to the wrong one.
